An old man who's many centuries older than he appears, Shang Tsung was originally born human. A particularly powerful sorcerer, he is the Emperor's favorite councilor and former student.

Liu Kang is a famed Shaolin warrior who represents Earthrealm.

Sub-Zero is the current head of the Lin Kuei clan. Though currently based in Earthrealm, the Lin Kuei are originally descended from Edenians.

Ko'atal is an Osh-Tekk general of Outworld. When Shao Kahn conquered his realm - once ruled by his father - Ko'atal became the last of his kind.
